Cultural

With a number of historic sites around the county, you won’t be surprised to find that a number of them are open to the public, and make for a great cultural experience. Just inside the stunning peak district, a short drive from us, you can find Eyam. This stunning historic village was made famous during the black death in 1666 thanks to the villager’s unique bloodline that made them immune. You can find out more in the Eyam museum! While Bolsover Castle is around an hour’s drive away, it’s certainly worth the journey. This stunning 17th-century castle is predominantly still intact, with the riding house being the oldest building in the UK in its condition! You’ll be astounded by the artwork and interiors.

Walking

When you are just a stone’s throw away from the peak district you would be right to expect some stunning views, picturesque walks, and even some challenging hikes. So if you are looking at having an active holiday, and you have brought your walking boots, here are a few of our favourite trails. Dimmingsdale has some fabulous trails, from the light walks, to longer and more challenging hikes, with a walk perfect for everyone.
